EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Gilbert Public Schools board recently sampled meals at a tasting session to review rising student participation and cost savings from USDA Commodity Foods funds. The board noted the district served 2.4 million lunches and is preparing for federal menu changes (new dietary guidelines may alter requirements). Gilbert Sun News
- ➤ Highland and Mesquite High Schools offer a multiyear cabinetmaking program that gives students hands-on woodworking training while teaching professional shop standards.
