- ➤ San Tan Village in Gilbert will host the Art and Wine Festival on March 29 and 30. The festival will feature 60 juried artists (specializing in paintings, sculptures, ceramics and mixed media) and live music along with wine tastings from eight top wineries (tickets available at the door or online), and admission is free. - ➤ Gilbert officials have faced budget tracking challenges due to separate street light improvement districts set up for every new development that now total 399 accounts. The town is considering a town-wide SLID that could save about $1 million a year and ease management—according to budget director Kelly Pfost—while continuing the current system. Gilbert Sun News
- ➤ Maricopa County will invest $4.3 million in opioid settlement funds to support 17 local groups fighting substance use in our community. Contracts for these programs will begin April 1—helping expand prevention, treatment, and support services. Maricopa County
