Good morning, Gilbert.

David Fabiano, Gilbert’s assistant public works director, was honored in February with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Arizona Society of Professional Engineers—recognizing his nearly three decades of leadership in modernizing water, wastewater, and traffic systems.

He led a $1 billion capital improvement program and served on national boards to shape public works practices.

Gilbert Town Council will recognize the town's Volunteer MVPs (nominated by the public) at its Tuesday night meeting as part of the program's third year.

Spring has arrived in Gilbert and many Arizonans are saving money on their gardens by joining online groups, starting plants from store scraps, building compost from kitchen waste, propagating from cuttings, and using logs and rocks to fill beds — these tips help cut costs and reduce waste.
