- ➤ Premier Medical Distribution is opening an office at 1031 W. Melody Ave., Gilbert — it will supply goods, service, and support to caregivers including regional hospitals and private practices. The office will open soon to serve local healthcare needs. Gilbert Independent
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Gilbert Public Schools approved a $573,362 purchase of weapon detectors, hand-held devices, crowd control barriers and other related security measures, plus a $17,000 annual fee for a cloud-based management system to enhance safety at all high schools. The rollout will begin at Gilbert Classical Academy and Canyon Valley High School with a security guard at each entrance – and the district aims to complete the installation by the end of the school year. - ➤ Sossaman Middle School was named one of the five Schools to Watch by the Arizona Association for Middle Level Education — the program honors middle schools statewide.
