- ➤ Students from Gilbert Public Schools and Queen Creek Unified School District secured top wins at the National Civics Bee on March 28 at the Combs Performing Arts Center in San Tan Valley. Logan G. from Highland Junior High — part of GPS — won first place while Eastmark High students Annamay B. and Peyton J. placed second and third and will advance to the state finals on May 2 at ASU’s Thunderbird Global School of Management.
