Good morning, Gilbert.

Gilbert residents are challenged to complete 25,000 hours of community service by July 4 as part of America’s 250 initiative led by For Our Town Gilbert & JustServe.

Mayor Scott Anderson urged every resident, family, school, business, and organization to log volunteer hours online, including service dating back to January.

Gas prices in the Valley fell slightly this week — the average dropped 4 cents to $4.87 per gallon and in Gilbert the median dipped 12 cents to $4.83, according to AAA Arizona and gasbuddy.com, as prices show modest change ahead of Memorial Day.
