Here's your local news at a glance for Sunday, the 1st of June.
Good morning, Gilbert.
💼 Business
A local firm points out that many companies now use chatbots and complex menus instead of clear phone numbers, so customers have trouble reaching a live person—this change in communication is hurting business efficiency.
The trend shows that even advanced technology cannot replace the clear, human connection needed in business.
The Kolache Cafe opened its Gilbert location on May 15 at 3635 S.
Val Vista Drive, suite 107—its fourth site in a chain that began in Ahwautukee—. The bakery now has two Mesa locations—with another planned—to grow its market.
🏛️ Government
Gilbert Town Council reviewed traffic data and discussed ways to boost roadway safety after a study session showed issues with speeding, crashes at intersections, and rising motorcycle accidents.
Council members and police supported adding staff, improved enforcement plus visible safety signage to help keep roads safe.
