Good morning, Gilbert.

Gilbert's Discover Gilbert has released a summer bucket list with 10 ideas for beating the heat and making memories with family & friends, including a splash pad at Water Tower Plaza and H2O Fest at Freestone Park on June 5th & public pools across town.

The Town of Gilbert invites residents to sign a beam that will be placed at the new Advocacy Center on June 4 during two timeslots—7 to 8:30 a.m. and 5 to 6:30 p.m.—at the Police Department’s administrative headquarters at 75 E.

Civic Center Drive. Registration is required because spots are limited and the event marks a key milestone in support for victims of crime and those needing advocacy services.

Some high school graduates from Gilbert Public Schools and Higley Unified built leadership skills in their JROTC programs and chose military paths—Evelyn Frost will join the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Wyatt Standage will attend the New Mexico Military Institute, Madison Wilson will serve in the Air Force Reserve while studying at community college, and Hunter Jones will begin Army basic training in July.
