Gilbert centenarian James Guarino, a WWII veteran, turned 102 on June 21 at Copper Springs Retirement Community, where family, friends and local officials celebrated his milestone — he also received a Congressional certificate for his service.

The Keli May Foundation is accepting applications for its annual Artist Spotlight Scholarship to provide cash awards for three emerging musicians.

The program, established to honor Keli Rutledge (the founder's daughter), supports young local artists with music education and equipment expenses.
