- ➤ Arizona lawmakers approved changes to state laws last month that include a measure limiting land sales by designated foreign groups to protect military installations and a bill that gives wrongfully incarcerated people a chance for compensation, both signed by Gov. Hobbs and local legislators. They also set up an independent prison oversight office and passed a ballot measure that will let voters decide if drug cartels should be treated as terrorist organizations — actions aimed at improving public safety and accountability.
