- ➤ Art Intersection is hosting a photography workshop for teens called Exploring Photography for Teens from July 16th to 19th where students aged 13—17 learn digital and film photography techniques. The workshop runs from 1—5 p.m. on July 16th to 18th and from 1—6 p.m. on July 19th and will provide cameras, snacks, and an online exhibition of student work. Gilbert Independent
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ After a May decision by the state Supreme Court upholding former prosecutor April Sponsel's two-year suspension, Gilbert’s town attorney said the prosecutor office must add two full-time employees to review growing video evidence from police cameras. Due to the tight FY2026 budget, the town will use limited-term agreement hires until more funds become available—ensuring cases continue to be properly reviewed. Gilbert Sun News
