EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ GPS staff worked all summer to get ready for the new school year by checking 190 buses, cleaning classrooms, and setting up kitchens so that students have safe and ready campuses. Ron Sessions and building managers began work early at 6 a.m.—replacing HVAC filters and inspecting buses—to support over 7,000 students. Gilbert Independent
- ➤ Gilbert Public Schools' board voted 3-2 to not renew its membership in the Arizona School Boards Association for the new school year; the board said the district no longer uses ASBA to set policy and get training.
