Good morning, Gilbert.

Gilbert Public Schools is deploying three early literacy coaches to work directly with elementary teachers at three schools to boost K-3 reading instruction and help students reach or exceed pre-pandemic levels over a six- to eight-week cycle.

The coaches will model lessons, co-teach, and support teacher planning.

SanTan Village is launching its School Cents program so shoppers can support local schools by uploading receipts, with every dollar spent earning five points; schools with the highest totals will share a $15,000 funding pool (bonus points are offered at select events).

Gilbert Public Schools is launching early-literacy coaching roles and a standardized student support specialist model at three campuses this year to boost reading skills and reduce classroom disruptions (district officials say the changes will empower teachers and free up administrators).
