Gilbert Town Council approved spending of $43.5 million for Desert Sky and $55.7 million for Regional Park to add a splash pad, sports fields, and a softball complex—funded by quality-of-life sales tax—with Desert Sky opening in March and Regional Park in July 2028.
📰 Real Estate
The Gilbert Town Council approved a rezoning and amendment on Sept.
15 for Headwaters Gilbert (a 55+ community) at Town Square. The 181-unit project will convert a vacant commercial site into high-density residential housing.
Tri Pointe Homes started construction on Lusitano (a 76-home community with planned amenities) at the southwest corner of Pecos and Greenfield roads in Gilbert.
The model homes will open Jan. 21, 2027.
