Good morning, Gilbert.
🎓 Education
Rigo Jackson, a 17-year-old with a rare genetic condition, is being homeschooled after Gilbert Public Schools said they could not honor his family’s DNR order because state law does not allow it in schools.
His parents will continue fighting so he can experience his senior year—arguing that he deserves the same care decisions as his classmates.
Gilbert Classical Academy and Neely Traditional Academy were named among Arizona’s top schools by U.S. News & World Report, with Gilbert Classical recognized as the highest-ranking public high school in the Phoenix area and Neely Traditional ranked as the No. 4 elementary school.
The honors reflect strong academic performance by both schools—showing the hard work of students and staff.
