- ➤ The Hale Centre Theatre will honor Carole King and James Taylor with tribute concerts from October 2 to 18 at its concert hall—featuring timeless songs like Fire and Rain, Carolina in My Mind, You Got a Friend and Natural Woman, with 7:30 shows and extra 4 p.m. performances on Fridays and Saturdays, and tickets costing $47 to $60. - ➤ The Gilbert Public Schools Governing Board has hired McPherson and Jacobson, L.L.C. to lead its search for a new superintendent as Dr. Shane McCord retires at the end of the current school year.
