Six new artworks have been installed on doors across Gilbert’s Heritage District as part of the Alley Gallery project that brings public art to pedestrian corridors.
The pieces by local artists are placed at Heritage Marketplace and HD South and are now on the town’s Public Art Map.

Bojangles is constructing its first Arizona restaurant in Gilbert.
The site at the northeast corner of Val Vista Drive and Mercy Road is planned to open in early 2026—bringing Cajun-style fried chicken, biscuits and sweet tea to local diners.

Steve McDowell is the district athletic director at Gilbert Public Schools and he grew up playing football at Gilbert High School.
He uses his own football memories & strong team spirit to help student-athletes work together and feel proud of their schools.
