Good morning, Gilbert.

Twelve students from Gilbert Public Schools have been named semifinalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program based on their PSAT/NMSQT scores — they come from Campo Verde High, Gilbert Classical Academy, Gilbert High, and Highland High Schools and must now submit detailed applications to move on to the finalist stage.

Gilbert partnered with Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona to launch the state’s first monitored donation containers—solar-powered bins at Discovery Park and Cactus Yards that feature 24/7 surveillance and safety lighting.

The initiative accepts items such as clothing, shoes, and electronics to boost recycling and reduce landfill waste.
