- ➤ Representatives from Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty in Gilbert raised $10,500 last month at the Strides for CJD Walk to honor former manager Cathy Green, who died from the disease in 2024. - ➤ Gilbert will start its holiday celebrations on Dec. 1 with the lighting of its famous water tower at Water Tower Plaza (45 W. Page Ave.) from 6 to 8:30 p.m., featuring live music and kids' crafts. The city will also hold Riparian After Dark at the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch (2757 E. Guadalupe Road) from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 12–22 with an illuminated trail walk and holiday displays. The Mesa Tribune
