Sunday's game in Dallas settled the Cardinals' quarterback question. Arizona trailed 17-3 with Jacoby Brissett throwing, until Gardner Minshew came in late in the third quarter and went 17-for-23 with three touchdowns in a 33-30 win. ABC15 says it was a 14-point comeback that ended in overtime.
On Monday, coach Mike LaFleur said Minshew will move into the starter's role. Rookie Carson Beck is now the backup, and Brissett is the third-string emergency option. Arizona Sports adds that Brissett reportedly will be traded to Baltimore.
“We need a spark, and obviously Gardner gave us one.”
